What I do when I krave cookies

Well there are many things that I could do. One of them is to just eat cookies. But what if I am not really truly hungry (like, in-my-belly-hungry) but I’m ‘hungry’ for cookies nonetheless? Keep in mind that I make cookies from scratch somewhere between seldom and never. This is because, quite frankly, I don't want to have them lying around tempting me all the time.  So lately I’ve been using a substitute. But be warned: this is not in the least bit healthy, but it is low in calories and scratches that cookie itch.

For some odd reason (brilliant consumer marketing?) I looked at this box in the market and knew that it would soon be mine:

120 calories per serving comes out to 2 calories per 'pillow' if you were crazy enough to weigh out 30g and then count each one and divide 120 by the number of pillows. Not that I would ever do such a thing.

Creepy faux food goodness. The pillows are sometimes hollow and other times filled with the soft chocolate goo.

Just tonight it dawned on me that I had to introduce one of my true loves to the other.

Little crunchy chocolate bits in the popcorn, without slimy or powdery fingers!

Pull up a chair and enjoy. This bowl has about 130 calories.

i saw that cereal and for a second thought it might be GF. Um no. DAMN! Maybe i can come up with something else.

I'm not much of a cereal person but these do look particularly addicting. I used to eat Puffins like they were going out of style. But then I had to stop buying them because they were being consumed at a rapid pace!!

I'm Kraving some cereal right now. :)

Move to wordpress! I know you don't want to but it will make blogging easier and maybe you'll do it more often and I'll be happy :)

When I crave a cookie, I eat a cookie. Diddy Reese cookies are just 100-120 calories each so you can have two (or three) and not feel like you need to skip dinner.

I would never, ever weigh out a serving size and calculate how much each "pillow" has... alright, yes I totally would. But you did the work for me! Oh man, the combo with popcorn?? I am a popcorn FREAK. I like it just on the edge of being burnt- is that weird? :)

bahaha i bet you counted eat pillow you dropped into the popcorn bowl. i love making popcorn mixes! i always end up with dirty paws after popcorn though because i dress my popcorn up way to much for my own good.

I hear ya - sometimes you need the real thing, but sometimes you just need something sweeter to munch on to satisfy your sweet tooth. Love how you're "stretching" them with some light popcorn.

Somehow I have never been a fan of sugary cereals.. But I do love the idea of a popcorn mix... I might put some chocolate chips in next time :)

I can't eat it because of the gluten, but now I can not stop thinking about making popcorn with chocolate chips. It's join down.

I so get the not really truly hungry but I'm hungry for _______ nonetheless. And I too also make cookies somewhere between seldom and never. Baking is just not my thing. Putting that stuff with popcorn is brilliant in a fun food sort of way. ;-)

PS I TOTALLY thought you made a typo with Krave at first but then thought, I know Deb she's too smart and onto something!

Jenn- Yes, I'm pretty sure that Ellie's blog (and the travel blog??) MUST have a subscribe via email option. I'll go over and check Ellie's now :-) I get your posts into my email so I always read them (even if I don't always click through to comment)
