No, today I’ll simply let you know that I want to share three things with you.
1. Stuffed FroYo Apple:
Or as Eden named it (much more interestingly), Greek Yogurt Apple “Cupcakes.”
My only tweak (aside from the color of sprinkles) was adding back the innards of the apple and sticking the whole thing in the freezer for about 20 minutes once filled. (Who knew frozen apples were delicious!?) I also used half of a “low carb” yogurt and half greek yogurt and forgot the nut butter.
Seriously people, this was so much fun to make and eat. For ~200 filling, healthy and delicious calories, this is a recipe winner!
2. Another Video:
For my next internet trick… I made another video for Lindsay over at Lindsay’s List. You’ll see from the photo below that I’m showing you my latest dance moves:
Kidding! It’s for Lindsay’s Tuesday Trainer series! Click here to see the short video for a great and simple multijoint exercise. (Bonus: you get to hear me scream at the end because I sense impending doom). Click the TT below to take you to the Tuesday Trainer tab on her blog, which lists all previous topics.
3. My "Other" blog:
Finally, you just know I can’t publish a post without linking my little Ellie’s part of internet.
This is Ellie:
She’s cute, right? She's also quite a character.
Remember when she was little? Well, Ellie grew to love going on road trips so much that she begged me to start a simple photo-blog documenting her travels and her home-life. So I obliged. We call it My Fabulous Life on The Road. It’s a one-photo-per-post, once or twice a week sort of gig.
Some of the other characters you’ll see:
Samantha, the 16-year old we’ve had since kittenhood:
(here’s proof)
Baby kitten, Ace: the little brother:
And the crazy parents:
So that is what I have to share with you this week. As always, thank you for reading and once again, I’m sorry to those having trouble leaving comments!
Q: I’m a bit behind in the blog world: share something that I might not otherwise know about you this week. Good, bad, funny. A great recipe? Funny joke?

ya, JG introduced me to Live writer. What were doing before it? Damn blogger, slow mo!
I saw that video of you on Lindsey's site earlier. Lookin' good!
Ok since you asked
A great recipe? = the cinnamon bun donuts with cream cheese glaze I just made. Dont want to link drop on you but they were really good :)
Linds- I STILL use Blogger in Draft (Thanks Jessie!!!). In fact, WLW is no bueno with Picasa, and if I'm using ANY photo other than what comes out of my DLSR, then my photos come from there. It took me HOURS to write this tiny post because of this problem. So this morning I woke up fresh and added more photos with Blogger in Draft. In other words, each of the systems are great for some things. Each suck major for other things. I have to use both. I think that the major offender is Picasa, but all of my old photos are there and I'm not moving them. SORRY!! WRote a novel!! (now go back and look at the other photos as that's the fun part! ;-))
Averie- oh dude, you seriously have one of the most drool-recipe blogs in the sphere. I have emailed myself countless of your recipes. One day I will go through them :-)
I love love love the kitty posts/pictures! I love Ellie's blog and always look forward to new posts!
Yes and that apple of Edens looked so good and I plan to make it when I get another Honeycrisp or Sweet Tango apple. Good idea to freeze since I love to normally freeze my Fage, but that cold apple would probably hurt my teeth, they're sensitive!
I have been slacking on much blog reading lately - but I did see a neat recipe for homeade butterfingers. I made them and all were amazed! I later saw it on Averie's blog but in a smaller portion which is good if you aren't making for a crowd. I also saw a very interesting recipe for Barbecue Chicken Pizza Soup - yes, soup! She promised it was good. My hubs loved BBQ chicken pizza (only kind he likes) so I may give it a whirl. It's from Blog is the New Black. I've seen plenty on Janetha's, Eden's, and Heather's that I've got bookmarked but I haven't made yet.
Oh and loved the video when I saw it on TT!!
Missy
Good to hear from you Deb! I'll admit to you that I have a tricky relationship with cats. One set me on fire once, so things are a little strained. I know it's technically prejudice to apply my evaluation of one cat to the entire species. I'm working on it.
Wow, this is the most random comment ever. Horrible. I apologize.
As far as news goes, I have none. I'm a student and a wayward blogger. Good times!
Have a good Thursday!
I love that you made Eden's Apple. yours and hers look fantastic (I love to make things with raw apples).
I LOVE the photo right under "crazy parents" - I swear she is leaning away like, WHAT??? and her tail is frantic! ;)
hmm... new in my world. strawberry basil fruit rolls. Mmm.
Thanks for the linkage, friend!!
New in my life?? hmm...we start Wizard of Oz tonight! Oh, and my water heater exploded yesterday and we're having to completely replace it today. Had to shower at the gym. Luckily, I'd read your tips on just how to do that! ;)
such cute kitties!!! and that apple looks AHHHH-mazing!
Missy- Sweet tango? THat's new to me! BBQ chicken pizz soup sounds fabulous!
Susan- set on fire?! I can see why the relationship would be strained. I was a self-proclaimed 'cat hater' before we got Samantha and Charlotte RIP.
Kris- oh I'll need to check your blog for that recipe.
Linds- oh no on the water heater!! When it rains it pours (sorry) Good luck on the show!
Betty- thank you!
Your cats are so adorable! I use to own cats but now that I have kids, I just can't handle a pet. But the pics of crazy parents reminded me of how I was with my cats!
Great informational post on the sumo squat, you look great.
i think ellie and samantha should ban together and you should do a video of them making greek yogurt cupcakes for ace haha
I can't use Livewriter because I have a Mac. Grrrrr.
I posted a pic of my version of Eden's apple on my blog too (I topped it with granola though). It was so darn cute!
Fun post...thanks! And those kitty pics are classic.
The pic of you in the video looks like an Atari "Space Invader" re-enactment. Ohhh, remember Atari? I certainly do (:
As for new in the blog world...I don't read enough of them to know and I'm woefully behind on the ones I do but in my world except I did see a yummy pumpkin butter s'mores....I am fostering a very wheezy old cat for two months, my brother ran the NYC marathon today (his first one at 48 yrs. old!) and I finally bought my first kabocha squash.
Thanks again for always making me smile (:
i've gone sugar-free (including artificial) and i'm missing stevia something fierce! i'm also obsessing over the looks of that apple faux-yo cupcake
McIntosh- YES, totally remember Atari! (haha, showing our age!)
That first photo of Ellie is gorgeous Deb!
Frozen apples, huh? Hmm, need to try that one.
Hope you had a good weekend! Love, Heabie :)
I'm so trying your froyo apple cupcake thingy!! And I love all the kitty pics - too cute that they blog as well;)
