You can bust out a fierce bleachers workout in under an hour:
•walk from car to bleachers/stairs (5 minutes)
•run or walk up stairs. Walk down (20 minutes)
•admire the senior citizen running slower than I walk with his arms up in the air like Rocky (the whole time)
•3-4 sets each of 20 reps: squats, split lunges each leg, sumo squats. (20 minutes)
•walk back to your car and wait for DOMS to set in (5 minutes)
What's yours?

My workout heaven? Kettlebells at the beach with sprints in the sand.
(We are so lucky to live in S. CA)
I've always dreamed of doing a bleacher/stair/track workout!! But I've never been able to find a venue for it. Maybe it's because of the cold weather, but most tracks back home are indoors.
My idea of heaven right now would be a vinyasa flow. Looking forward to the day I'll be able to do it again!
I love having a free morning where I can spend as much time at the gym as I want. P.S. I'm giggling from the image you described with the senior citizen with his arms up.
Jenn- Oh lucky you- I still haven't dared try Kettlebells even though I had my cortisone shot- I still have tears that will need to be repaired at some point. YES we are lucky to live here.
Susan- Could do the same thing indoors but probably would need a great lineup on the ipod! :-)
Carrie- It's the track at the high school where we saw The Japanese Wife in the auditorium! He's there all the time- love him.
I like stairs right now too, but the weather is perfect so its nice to have a good tail wind for that. ha!
LC
I can exercise until the cows come home but I cannot do squats. They make me feel totally nauseous! Not unlike the needles I got stuck in me today by your acupuncturist! :) I will write more about that later!!
Lindsay- I never notice any tail wind! I need to come over to your stadium!
Ameena- oh no! Seriously nauseous? Maybe that's why I lost weight when I saw him! haha. I'll shoot you an email, but hopefully you'll be able to keep up with the regimen to see some benefit to you.
Okay...don't take this the wrong way but your idea of heaven seems a bit warped to me :) I'm hoping by the time I get there (if that's where I go, of course) that squats, lunges and stairs are out of the picture.
Love your sr. citizen buddy...I think there must be a nationwide club of elderly Rocky-wannabe's because I've seen many here on the east coast.
Being there and doing the workout with ya! One day lady one day! x x x
Ha- thats funny, the minute I read the title, I was imagining a Rocky montage, then you mentioned it :)
I popped over after reading your guest post on Eden's blog, nice to find a new blog to check out!
Cheers!
