Incriminating photos

My husband, the criminal, was breaking the law last month. He was speeding on our way to our HEABrific Bloggie-meetup with all my lovely bleeps last month (lots of links) and WHAM! The nasty Arizona highway patrol snapped the following incriminating photo and sent it to him in the mail.

Quite frankly, I much prefer this method of issuing a citation- it saves that whole "omg omg omg where's my license, I can't believe I'm getting pulled over, quick hide the cell phone panic" that sets in when you get physically pulled over by the fuzz. When I sweat, I would rather be punching a boxing bag than sitting in the driver's seat of my car thankyouverymuch.

Am I the only one who finds the white bubble amusing? I just laughed and laughed when I first saw this photo! Incidentally, Derek doesn't have a Mr. Spock ear- that's his phone earpiece, in case you were wondering.

I do realize that the authorities have to insert the white bubble to protect the innocent (in this case: ME). OR there could be a more insidious reason for the white bubble... perhaps the passenger may not be so innocent after all. That passenger may not actually be wifey. I can imagine the AZ Highway patrol could get embroiled in all sorts of mucky-muck if things got nasty between spouses. So I got to thinking, wouldn't it be fun to doctor the photo a bit, just for yuks? Let's see, who's photo could I stick into that bubble? Who is one of my fave performers of the moment? Someone after whom I name smoothies? Yup you guessed it...

For some odd reason, when I sing this song, I have changed the line in my head from "Caught in a Bad Romance" to "Caught in a Rad Bromance". I'm weird, I know. As is the video if you go and watch it. Weird, weird weird! But kinda cool at the same time.
