Back from Blogcation!

Hello lovely and wonderful SGET readers! And welcome to any newbies who may have found your way here due to my ridiculously fabulous and wise guest Bloggers. How did I get so fortunate... to have that many quality Bloggers step in for me while I was away?! Honestly, it was a lot of fun to put together the guest posts as I found them incredibly interesting. Many thanks to my Guesties:
Wow! Pinch me I'm dreaming...what a rockstar lineup!

I am physically back home but dealing with inopportune moments of narcolepsy and confusion due to jet-lag and re-entry. Plus I conveniently forgot that we are living "trailer style" out of boxes due to the kitchen remodel and pest control appointments before we left. I will have some great "before and after" photos of the kitch soon- can you believe it was actually done before we left...it took a total of 1.5 months!

I promise I will do a "proper" re-cap of the trip, which was a transatlantic crossing with my hubby Derek and my Dad, Marty. We motored from NYC to Southampton, England on Cunard's Queen Mary 2...a trip that we have enjoyed before as evidenced by some FlashBackFriday photos here. Then as if that wasn't spectacular enough, we met up with the stunningly gorgeous, fun, sensitive and smart Lara from Thinspired. We loved her so much after the first day that we spent the next day with her as well (this time with her wonderful hubby, Matt, the half-marathon stud-muffin).

Although I was technically 'on Blogcation', ideas for posts still popped into my wee little brain at most inconvenient times- like 3am- and I will share those with you in the next week or so...namely:
So, fair SGET readers, I am so happy that we are all now more intelligent and well-informed having been given the best advice by the top health and fitness bloggers. But, as we are back to reality, you will once again be subjected to my own mindless musings fraught with the massive amounts of useless drivel to which you have been accustomed. Bless your little hearts.

And now I will leave you with a few photos from the trip:

A typical last-minute stop at Tesco- to smuggle home a few of Derek's British goodies (I might have helped just a little bit with a few snacks of my own)

I'm not sure where to start, but I have to say this...
Your purple dress is FABULOUS!! I am so in love with it.

Look at you guys in your glad rags! Derek almost had me fooled in that tux until I saw the Austin Powers picture. How does the saying go? You can take the boy out of Britain...

I could go on but I won't hijack your commenting section. This post made me smile :) And Deb, you undersell yourself; I can't wait for your posting to be back!

I'm going to start wearing an evening gown around the house to make my morning blending a more formal occasion. I've apparently got to keep up with Mr and Mrs. Smoothie Girl Eats Too!

Well done with the drainage Matt! Good fun! You can imagine how many other comments I'd like to leave with that photo, but I'm not sure if Deb's readers are up for such smutty times .... we'll have to see if there's any requests (or not????).
