My first post! Hurrah! The Blogosphere is such a fascinating place where so much can be learned and shared. Sometimes I get lost in "the vortex" jumping from one Tweet to Facebook to a blog to a webpage and finally I have to call it a night and get off my bootay that has been parked at the computer for far too long.
My first food blog encounter was Kath. Due to this I consider her the "Grandmother of Food Bloggers" (of course she's young so that makes no sense at all). Then I found Gina, who is so much fun to read, with her cute lingo and photos of the furry babies. Jenna has been interesting as well, and watching her go through career training and recently through tragedy has been inspirational. Tina has such a great, balanced approach to life and food. Caitlin has been growing as a blogger and her OperationBeautiful.com offshoot is very moving. Heather is truly innovative. Who puts veggies into their morning grains? HEAB does, and now so do lots of readers-brilliant! Then there's Angela- wow does that girl have great energy and her bakery is going to take off like wildfire. Finally, my most recent find is Charlotte. She just cracks me up daily. I have to be on a Blog Diet though or else I'd never get up off the chair. I check out other blogs too, and even on a good day, I may only check a few! That's my confession.
I have noticed so many similarities with all of these bloggers. First off, as they are writing about food and fitness they've all struggled with weight or body-image issues. Some more than others. And they have come to places of success- hence they share with the world. Also, they are successful, organized go-getters. And have you noticed that all of their men are top notch? I don't think that any of this is a coincidence. I think that it takes attributes to overcome obstacles in life. It is generous of them to share their experiences with the world. They are all really down-to-earth as well. I think I've emailed almost all of them with some dumb question about a recipe or something- and I get a friendly reply back. How do they have time to DO all that they do?
I don't intend to attempt to run with these bad girls, but I do want to share my experiences when I believe that they would be of some value to others. I feel that I learn so much from the so-called "peanut gallery" that even if one person gets something out of one of my successes or failures, then this blog is totally worth the time to write. So check back with me and see what's going on.

Hi Deb - Also sent over from Heather...I'll have to take the time tonight to read all your posts, but I'm also a proud owner of a refurbished Vita-Mix who will soon send her own blog into the 'sphere. Congrats on the weight loss. I'm in the before - after-before-after-before (again) phase (long story) so I understand the process of trying to find the right fit for you. I loved what you said about us all sharing similar traits. Look forward to reading more! (And, like many of the other food bloggers on here - you're truly beautiful at any weight!)
